DIY Halloween House Bat

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays.. I covered our front porch in pumpkins, and I feel the urge to break out some last-minute Halloween crafts to get the house ready. Best wishes and happy Halloween for everyone celebrating!

INSTRUCTIONS

This is one of my favorite decorating projects for one of my favorite holidays. I always have folks asking how it’s done, and it’s so incredibly simple and fun! There are two ways you can get the bats transferred onto the foam: Once you print the bats, you can either cut them out and trace them, or you can use transfer paper and a pencil. I have found that some foams are resistant to the tracing paper.

Once you have your bats drawn, cut them out with scissors. The foam cuts incredibly easily. I don’t even try to be super fussy here and instead choose the side with the markings as the back.

Apply the mounting adhesives to the backsides of each bat (I try to be pretty liberal here so I don’t risk having them fall down), and stick them to your surface.
